Our History & Staff
The Staff at Sand Run Pharmacy values the importance of training and education to keep abreast of new trends and to improve our skills and knowledge to better serve you.
Our staff of pharmacy technicians are certified to meet the highest standard of care and to better assist our pharmacists and you. Our pharmacists are licensed by the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy and certified in their respective areas of specialty. We currently serve as an experiential site for pharmacy students at Ohio Northern University, The Ohio State University and Northeastern Ohio Medical University. Our pharmacists are members of the National Community Pharmacists Association and the Ohio Pharmacists Association. A little about them:
Tom Lamb
RPh
Graduated from Ohio Northern University BSPharm program. He has been serving the Akron community since 1989 at Sand Run Pharmacy.
Meg Lamb
RPh, FACVP
Graduated from Ohio Northern University BSPharm program. She is a Fellow with the American College of Veterinary Pharmacists and has been at Sand Run Pharmacy since 1989.
Jason Sloan
PharmD, RPh
Graduated from Ohio Northern University PharmD program. He has been with Sand Run Pharmacy since 2005.
Robert Nearhoof
PharmD, RPh
Graduated from Northeast Ohio Medical University PharmD program. He has been with Sand Run Pharmacy since 2020.
