The hot days of summer are upon us !

Summer is here, which means days filled with sunshine and heat. Despite the warm temperatures, a major concern during this time, especially for the elderly, is overheating.  Conditions like dehydration, heat exhaustion, or heat stroke can be life-threatening, and it is important to take several steps to stay safe. Remember to drink water frequently and stay in the shade as much as possible. Wear loose fitting, light-colored clothing, and always wear a hat. Also, never keep a child or pet in a locked car with the windows closed. With these tips, you can be sure to enjoy summer’s warmth while staying safe!
