Poison Prevention Week: March 20-26

poisonDid you know that over 2 million poisonings are reported to poison control centers each year? Every day you can do something to help prevent poisonings and ensure the safety of children and adults in your home and in the community. An easy way to be involved is by storing your medications in their original containers and out of the reach of children. Also, store household products (i.e. cleaners) in an area different than where you store your medications. Use medicines safely by reading the label and following directions. Finally, don’t share your medications. If you or someone you love experience a poisoning, call poison control at 1-800-222-1222 and get medical help right away.
